Weihnachtsbrief 2001
Liebe Orzydorfer,
das Jahr 2001 neigt sich dem Ende zu und für uns alle ist dies wieder die Gelegenheit zurückzublicken und vorauszuschauen. Wir, die Mitglieder des Vorstandes der HOG-Orzydorf, trafen uns kürzlich um den Inhalt dieses Briefes zu besprechen. Mit Freude stellten wir fest, dass für uns ein erfolgreiches Jahr zu Ende geht: das 16. Orzydorfer Treffen am 2. Juni in Nürnberg war ein gelungenes Fest. Die Beteiligung war groß, die Stimmung hervorragend und wir hatten den Eindruck, dass alle Gäste sich wohlfühlten. Ein ausführlicher Bericht darüber erschien in der „Banater Post“. Dieser ist als Anlage diesem Brief beigefügt. Eine Zusammenstellung von Fotos soll eine Erinnerung für Diejenigen sein, die am Treffen teilgenommen haben und allen Anderen einen kleinen Eindruck vermitteln und vielleicht auch Anregung dafür sein, am nächsten Treffen im Jahre 2003 teilzunehmen. Denn das war für den Vorstand das Fazit: Wir wollen uns bemühen und daraufhin arbeiten, dass auch das nächste Orzydorfer Treffen ein Erlebnis wird. Die Trachtenpaare, die diesmal dabei waren, erklärten sich spontan bereit auch in zwei Jahren wieder mitzumachen und wir würden uns freuen, wenn sich noch ein paar Landsleute finden würden, um unsere kleine Gruppe zu ergänzen. Wir würden uns auch freuen, wenn weiterhin Ideen und Anregungen zur Gestaltung des Festes an uns herangetragen würden.
Der Vorstand bedankt sich auch auf diesem Wege nochmals bei den Trachtenpaaren, allen Mitwirkenden, aber auch bei den vielen Helfern im Hintergrund, die zum Gelingen des Festes beigetragen haben. Ohne sie wäre die Durchführung einer so großen Veranstaltung nicht möglich gewesen. Wie jedes Jahr, möchten wir uns wieder bei den vielen Orzydorfern bedanken, die mit ihrem jährlichen Beitrag und mit ihren Spenden mithelfen, dass wir die Arbeit im Vorstand ungehindert durchführen können. Dazu gehört natürlich die Organisation der Treffen, die jährlichen Hilfen für unsere in der alten Heimat verbliebenen Landsleute, die Pflege des Friedhofs in Orzydorf, das Schreiben und Verteilen dieses Weihnachtsbriefes, das Übermitteln von Geburtstagsgrüßen und Beileidsbezeugungen, unsere Präsenz im Internet usw. Mit der Währungsumstellung von DM auf Euro haben wir unseren jährlichen Beitrag auf 8,00 Euro (entspricht DM 15,65) pro Person festgelegt. Dies ist eine unwesentliche Erhöhung des Beitrages und wir hoffen, dass Sie damit einverstanden sind und uns weiterhin so kräftig wie bisher unterstützen. Ein Zahlschein liegt, wie jedes Jahr, diesem Schreiben bei.
Seit unserem letzten Brief gibt es auch ein paar freudige Ereignisse zu verkünden: die HOG Orzydorf gratuliert im Namen aller Landsleute den glücklichen Eltern Ramona, geb. Regert und Niki Müller zur Geburt ihres Sohnes Axel in Ellhofen, und Edith und Willi Guss zur Geburt ihres Sohnes Jan Christoph in Nürnberg.
In diesem Zusammenhang möchten wir wiederholt darauf hinweisen, dass wir darauf angewiesen sind, dass Sie uns benachrichtigen, wenn in Ihrem familiären Kreis Veränderungen (Adressenänderungen, Hochzeiten, Geburten, Ehejubiläen, Todesfälle) anstehen. Marlene Seif oder Elisabeth Rodenkirchen (Adressen oberhalb des Briefkopfes) sind Ihre Ansprechpartner.

Aus Amerika erreichen uns nach wie vor viele Anfragen nach Urahnen oder Auswanderern. Deshalb unsere Bitte an die jungen Leute: reicht solche Anfragen an Eure Eltern und Großeltern weiter, vielleicht könnt ihr weiterhelfen. Auch möchten wir die jungen Leute, die mit der Materie Internet und Homepage vertraut sind, auffordern mitzumachen und die Hompage mitzugestalten.
