5. Sonntag im Jahreskreis, Gremsdorf, 6. Februar 2011

Am Donnerstag war es infolge des Eisregens wieder mal aalglatt. Er hatte in wenigen Minuten die Straßen und die Gehsteige mit einer Eis- schichte überzogen. Ich hatte gerade einen Arzttermin in Erlangen und konnte vom Auto aus kaum Praxis erreichen. Auf dem Rückweg hatte jemand von den Hauseigentümern etwas Salz auf den Gehsteig gestreut. Ich sehe noch deutlich einige Brocken davon. Sie brachten das Eis in kürzester Zeit zum Schmelzen und man konnte sich wieder fortbewegen. So erweisen sich schon geringe Mengen an Salz hilfreich. Eine kleine Prise genügt auch, um die Speisen zu würzen. Ich musste eine zeitlang Brot völlig ohne Salz essen. Es war nicht nur furchtbar fad, sondern schmeckte nach gar nichts.

Das ist der Vergleichspunkt, wenn Jesus zu denen, die ihm nachfolgen sagt: „Ihr seid das Salz der Erde.“ Es braucht nur einer Prise überzeugter Christen, um unsere Gesellschaft zu verwandeln, um den christlichen Glauben wieder attraktiv und für die Menschen schmeckbar zu machen, um das Eis des Hasses, des Neids aufzutauen. Sie überzeugen nach Paulus im 1. Korintherbrief durch ihre Lebensweise, weniger durch vollmundige Sonntagsreden oder gelehrte Abhandlungen, durch Überreden oder gar raffinierte Tricks. Werbeagenturen lassen grüßen!  Denn unser Glaube stützt sich nicht auf Menschenweisheit, sondern auf die Kraft Gottes.    

Wer vielmehr die Werke der Barmherzigkeit, wie sie Jesaja aufzählt, übt bei dem wird das Licht hervorbrechen wie die Morgenröte, und die Wunden werden schnell vernarben. „Dann geht im Dunkel dein Licht auf, und deine Finsternis wird hell wie der Mittag.“

Ein einziges Licht, auf den Leuchter gestellt, genügt, um dem ganzen Haus Licht zu spenden. Verschiedene Übersetzungen versuchen diese Stelle verständlich zu machen. Die Einheitsübersetzung gebraucht den Ausdruck: „Gefäß“, andere wiederum „Eimer“ oder umschreiben den Vorgang mit dem Zudecken einer Lampe. In der Zeit, in der es noch kein oder nur spärlich elektrisches Licht gab, eignete sich ein Scheffel sehr gut als Lichtfläche. Man stülpte es um und konnte darauf den Leuchter stellen. Unter Scheffel verstehe ich ein flaches Fass, das gewöhnlich zum Salzen der  Fleischvorräte diente. Es ließ sich sehr leicht wenden und auf den Kopf stellen. Der flache Boden, abgegrenzt mit einem Reifen, bot ausreichend Schutz vor unvorhergesehenes Entzünden und Bränden.

Wohl dem Menschen, der bereit ist zum Helfen,… sein Herz ist getrost, er vertraut auf den Herrn. Salz und Licht für die Welt sein, dass ist auch unsere Aufgabe. Wer sich darauf einlässt, wirkt nicht nur überzeugend auf andere ein, sondern erfährt auch Gottes Hilfe und wie er mit dieser Aufgabe wächst. Amen.

Jesus Christus hat allen, die an ihn glauben und ihm nachfolgen aufgetragen, Salz der Erde und Licht der Welt zu sein. So bitten wir:

1.       – Für alle, die in diesen Tagen Freude und Frohsinn suchen, damit sie es mit rechtem Maß tun und wahre Freude finden…

ALLE antworten mit Stille( 5 Sekunden!)

2.       – für die Menschen, die sich wegen ihrer Krankheit oder wegen erlittenen Leidens nicht mehr freuen können…

3.       – für die Christen, dass sie Salz der Freude für die Welt sein können…

4.       – Für uns selber, dass wir aufmerksam und dankbar sind für die großen und kleinen Freuden des Lebens…

5. – Für die Opfer des Zyklons in Australien und des Tsunamis von den Bergen in Brasilien, damit sich Land und Luft  wieder beruhigen…

6.       – Für unsere Verstorbenen, damit ihnen dein ewiges Licht

    leuchtet…

Gott, du bist Licht und Leben in dreifaltiger Gemeinschaft. Du willst, dass wir Menschen Freude und Leid miteinander teilen. Dafür sei dir Dank und Lobpreis jetzt und in Ewigkeit. AMEN.
